CTAM TVE UX Subcommittee's Recommendations (Phases 1 & 2)

Phase 1 recommendations are focused on best-in-class verification or the “sign in” process, specifically:

Sign In Language and Placement
Customer Support for Sign In Failure
Service Provider Selection
ID Linking & Social Media Sign In
Sign In Iconography
Co-branding between Service and Content Providers
Verification Duration & Remember Me

Phase 2 recommendations cover additional topics:

Instant access (HBA)

Error Messaging
Single Sign On (SSO)
Personalization, Recommendations & Bookmarking
Content Search & Discovery
Persistent MVPD Selection
Rules of Engagement

In addition, members of the UX Subcommittee, the Marcom Subcommittee and CTAM have worked with experts in the industry to develop unique recommendations for specific audiences:

Kids' UX
Hispanic UX

This User Guide outlines the recommended Best Practices for these experiences. Some of the recommendations will require more time to implement than others.  Success will be achieved when 75% of member companies who are delivering TV Everywhere service and/or content have adopted the recommendations.

The UX Subcommittee convenes regularly to discuss, develop and refine these recommendations.
